Please read carefully and indicate below that you and your parent/guardian agree to the following statement:
I realize these choirs are advanced and that I must have the skills to work and learn independently, as well as exhibit exemplary attitude and behavior. If at any time my attendance (missing any more than 5 daily rehearsals per semester), skills, behavior or attitude falls below the expectation for this choir, I may be re-assigned to another choral ensemble immediately. I realize that I serve as a role model to all chorus students and am always happy to sing and help all the Walton Choruses. As part of being a role model in Walton Chorus, I understand that I am expected to participate in and meet the $100 student goal for the yearly Raffle fundraiser.
I understand that being a member of A Cappella or SWE means there may be additional rehearsals and performance opportunities. It is expected that I rearrange activity or work schedules to make Chorus my first priority. I understand that while every effort is made to minimize the need for rehearsals outside of class, there are times when these must be scheduled. All dates except the Braves/Hawks performances (due to when these are assigned by their respective organizations) will be available by August 1, the first day of school. As a member of A Cappella or SWE, I understand that I am required to sing in all after school concerts, LGPE, the National Anthem at the Braves Game, and participate in any additional rehearsals or performances that the ensemble presents.
My parent(s) commit to chaperoning at least one Walton Chorus event (Braves, Hawks, LGPE, etc…) and/or volunteering to fill a Booster Board position.
I understand that the vocal evaluators, Mr. Stoner and Dr. Mann’s decision in chorus placement is final. I will do my best in whatever choir they believe is best for me and also best for Walton Chorus as a whole
